Just a heads up to all who check Avery's blog regularly, it might be a while before I have time to get new pictures up. The fall semester has started for me and James is also taking classes for his big P.E. test coming up. So we will be super busy with our heads in the books and little time to run after our little munchkin with the camera. Hopefully things will level out in a few weeks and we can resume the some-what regular posts. See you then!!!

Well, after having this rocking horse in her room since she was born she can finally ride it. Getting on is still a little tricky for her.

These days, Avery loves to be in the kitchen when we're cooking.  So we try to let her do as much as she can right now... a little stirring here, a little washing there.  When I make mashed potatoes she knows she'll really get to participate.  She helps by washing in them, (even if they are going to be peeled) putting them in the pot after I've cut them and holding the mixer.  She's a busy little sous-chef.

Summer of Fun

Avery has had a jam packed summer, so much so that (if she's still awake) when we pull into the driveway and she sees we're home, she doesn't want to get out of the car and wants to go "bye-bye" again.  Here are a few pics from her outings.

Rainy Day Blues

As you can see from the previous pictures this summer, our little girl LOVES to be outside playing in the water.  So when it rains, we have a soggy camper on our hands.  Talk about baby angst, she kept going to the door and just staring at her toys on the patio.

MORE Crawfish Ya'll

We got one more crawfish boil in before the season was over thank goodness. And let me tell you, they were EXCELLENT!! 

"I did it!! I stuck my hand in the tub of LIVE, very LARGE crawfish and I didn't get pinched.  I think I'll do it again!!!!"

For the record, this was the second table top full of crawfish (out of a total of five).  The other half of the crew was in the kitchen working on the other table that was full of crawfish.
